Ten heritage places across the nation are competing – via your vote – for cash prizes totalling $65,000 to help with restoration costs – and one of them is the 111 year old Duncan E&N Railway train station.
Voting on the National Trust For Canada‘s Next Great Save ends today at 11am our time; as I write this, the Duncan station is the clear leader, with more than 75,000 votes; La Vieille Maison in Meteghan Nova Scotia is second, but quite far back with about 52, 400 votes. You can vote for your favorite over here.
The first, second, and third place winners will be adapted, retrofitted, renewed, or improved in ways that will extend their useful lives, and meet community needs.
