Metallica revealed yesterday, on National American Sign Language Day, that they’ll be releasing ASL videos for all of the tracks on their new 72 Seasons album.
This makes Metallica the first rock band in history to do so. They hooked up with the nonprofit Deaf Professional Arts Network and Amber G Productions for this project. Amber Galloway and her team have served as signers at concerts and festivals such as Lollapalooza and Austin City Limits, and Amber herself does the signing on the video for the 72 Seasons title track.
The rest of the album’s songs will be released with ASL visuals on Tuesday April 25.
