The late Gord Downie‘s brother Mike – the same Mike who got a mention in The Tragically Hip’s 38 Years Old – put together a four part docuseries chronicling the band’s 40 year journey from high school pals to Great White North icons, and it’s coming soon to Prime Video Canada.
The Tragically Hip: No Dress Rehearsal will premiere this fall at the Toronto International Film Festival before hitting the streaming service. The trailer is out, and people seem to have feels about it, as one might expect.
The Hip’s surviving members Rob Baker, Johnny Fay, Paul Langlois, and Gord Sinclair appear in the series, the release date for which is yet to be revealed. We also get some commentary from fans like Will Arnett, who notes in the trailer that “they made it cool to be Canadian.”
