New England’s John Cafferty and The Beaver Brown Band arrived on the scene in 1972, but their big break didn’t come until eleven years later, when they were hired to provide the soundtrack for the bar band film Eddie And The Cruisers. The original lineup of Cafferty, Gary Gramolini, and Michael Antunes is still together, and this spring they’ll drop their first new album in 37 years, The Sound Of Waves, thanks to some recording encouragement from a cat to whom they’re often compared – Bruce Springsteen. The band will join John Waite and Wang Chung on some of the dates of Rick Springfield’s upcoming tour, and how’s that for an 80spalooza?
The lead single from John Cafferty and The Beaver Brown Band’s The Sound Of Waves album is A Day In The Sun.
