Back in The Long Ago Before Times (1998), Bruce Springsteen dropped Tracks – a four CD career-spanning set, much of which was previously unheard. The collection went platinum, and it’s quite possible the next one will, too. We’ll find out this summer when Tracks II: The Lost Albums arrives.
This collection contains 83 Bruce Springsteen songs, spanning 1983 to 2018. In the promo video, Springsteen says, “The Lost Albums were full records, some of them even to the point of being mixed and not released. I’ve played this music to myself and often close friends for years now … The ability to record at home whenever I wanted allowed me to go into a wide variety of different musical directions.”
Tracks II: The Lost Albums will arrive Friday June 27. The lead single is Rain In The River, recorded with The E Street Band, ostensibly in 2018.
