Longtime Great White North rock ambassadors Headstones have settled into their new label home – Dine Alone Records; their first effort on there is Navigate, and it’s a collaboration with City and Colour.
Says Headstones frontman and TV star High Dillon in a media release: “The collaboration with Dallas [Green, AKA City and Colour] was effortless and electric. This is a musician who unlocks the potential of a song. We have a mutual engineer and friend, Luke Schindler, who connected us, and we just hit it off. I have an incredible appreciation for his work and work ethic. His ability to surgically find and execute harmonies was impressive and profoundly appreciated.”
Headstones will drop Navigate on a limited edition (300 copies) red 7 inch single this weekend for Record Store Day, which is Saturday. The B side is a cover of Kenny Rogers‘ The Gambler.
